Scope

Customers come to Hallfield for many different reasons. The services we offer only answer half the question: when combined with scope, we add depth to our service descriptions. This aspect is important to Hallfield because it is in keeping with our core philosophy of being the resource our customers require at the level they request. We view scope from 3 different perspectives: time frame, involvement, and expertise. All 3 are unique and are required to complete the picture.

From the perspective of time frame, Hallfield has helped customers with projects as small as a 4-hour service call to assisting with machine repair, commissioning a piece of hardware, or brainstorming ideas. On the other end of the spectrum, we work for customers on an on-going part-time basis as an extension of their team. Our core business is in between the two, working with our customers on a project-by-project basis, running from a project that requires a few days of effort to large projects spanning months and quarters.

Throughout the duration of a project, our involvement can vary widely. Some customers come to us for one of our services, while others come for a complete turnkey solution. The bulk of what we do is again in the middle. Being a Controls group, we tend to help with the design, assembly, programming, and commission of control panels used in our customer's larger systems.

To round out our view of scope, we also need to consider expertise. Hallfield has assisted customers in many different capacities. Some customers bring us in as pure capacity to help fill gaps in resourcing needs. Other customers consult with us because our expertise fills a gap in their skill set. In all cases, we rely heavily on our customers to understand their markets and products. We bring to the table our deep understanding of the technology and its application.
