Hallfield provides commissioning and field service to complement our other areas of expertise. On the front end, our field services help customers with out of the blue hardware failures as well as provide assistance with small on-site project work to further develop initial customer relationships. On the tail end, we include commissioning time to provide power-up, site acceptance, and final debug and troubleshooting of the systems we've helped engineer and program.
For the majority of projects, we develop a customer's panel or turnkey system based upon an approved engineering design. If an application requires a program for the hardware, we develop the solution at our facility on the bench where we comprehensively test the equipment. At completion, we ship the equipment to our customers and then work with their maintenance personnel or electricians via e-mail, phone, or on-site visits to mount and field wire the equipment. In a final on-site session, Hallfield finishes wire terminations, starts up the equipment, and makes any required final tweaks to configurations or programs. The average on-site commissioning for Hallfield happens over the course of a day or less. We have also spent days and weeks at larger installations to help with the project. It all depends on scope.
