As first and foremost a controls group, Hallfield has extensive experience in industrial automation. We got our start assisting customers with automation projects, and have developed a full line of services geared towards every aspect of the industry. The scope of our offerings extends from a 4-hr service call to help troubleshoot a system to the full package of engineering, design, assembly, programming, and commissioning of a control system. We've helped customers at all levels and capacities.
As an engineering and design driven group, we have extensive experience adhering to NFPA 70 (NEC) for general requirements and NFPA 79 for industrial machinery requirements. We can also engineer and design to the UL508A standard required in many locations. In addition to regulations, Hallfield incorporates safety into every control system we design.
In addition to our engineering and design capabilities, Hallfield has very extensive programming experience: specifically, PLC/HMI programming. We routinely work with every major PLC manufacturer and have experience with some lesser known brands. Since motion control often goes hand-in-hand with industrial automation, we also have extensive experience configuring and scripting VFD, servo, and stepper drive controlled systems.
To support our engineering, design, and programming services, Hallfield has a manufacturing facility for building and testing industrial control panels. The facility is a UL508A panel shop (File #E359971) for those customers requiring UL508A labelled equipment. What makes us unique when compared to standard panel shops is our engineering, design, and programming capabilities. Since we support those areas of industrial automation, we can deliver panels that have been tested for function instead of tested to print.
Hallfield also offers commissioning and field service to support our engineering, design, and programming services. This allows us to properly hand off a project to our customers and work out any final details that may arise from a fully functional system.
